Last Sunday morning, at 7 am, I arrived at Brisbane airport to the hug and tears from my Mum and brother Ross. It was so wonderful to be home. I had had a fabulous longggg ride over the ocean and was delighted to feel the wheels touch down on the Australian soil.
Since then I have been busy, so busy that I only just got to walk along the beach that I love today (Thursday). Mum and I drove down the day after I arrived to our holiday house in Yamba, and as this is a rental there are always chores to do around the place. This morning we had 3 workmen here doing different things, fixing up the place for the next run of renters. I had planned to do some writing, have some down time and some self reflection time but it has not been the case
It has also been FREEZING (today Brisbane had the coldest day since 1913)! Because our holiday house is up on the north coast of NSW and in a relatively warm sub tropical climate it is not geared for the COLD weather that has appeared, and hence there is very little heating. Tonight Mum was sitting on the couch with a scalf around her neck and a big blanket on her this evening and we had two heaters blasting out warm air.
I will be sad to leave the beach as I love it here, however am and totally ready to move onto for my next adventure! On Saturday we leave early in the morning for a 5 hour drive to Toowoomba where Mum (and my brother) lives.
